چکیده

Abstract The processing of belite cement clinker in a rotary kiln at about 1000°C CO 2 atmosphere is new recycling option for Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) waste that otherwise must be landfilled. Waste fine fractions from sorting facility enriched sulfate due to intermixing with plaster have been processed. During clinkering the phase (Ca SiO 4 ) besides technical ellestadite, 10 (SiO 3 (SO Cl ), or ternesite, 5 SO are formed, depending on addition flux minerals. However, not all phases novel react hydraulically. Whereas ternesite reacts water, ellestadite forms complex solid solution series (Ca/Pb, /PO which may used as an insoluble reservoir mineral undesirable constituents, such phosphates and chlorides. produced has successfully partially substitute OPC AAC production trials. quantities landfill costs minimized, while same time, emissions primary resource consumption reduced. Joint work industrial companies underway increase technology readiness. Particularly large reduction effects can achieved through electrical heating kiln.

Numerical simulation for the drying shrinkage of autoclaved aerated concrete

A mathematical model for the description of drying shrinkage of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) is presented, bringing together the hygrothermal and mechanical considerations. The verification of the model is done using an approximation of a real laboratory experiment. Then, the applicability of the model is demonstrated by a numerical simulation of drying shrinkage and wetting expansion of A...

Fibre reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete studied by computed tomography

The production process of fibre reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete results in a preferential orientation of the fibres. The fibre orientation largely influences the strength and the deformation behaviour of this building material, therefore information on the fibre orientation is highly desirable. Computed tomography measurements allow for the non destructive investigation of the material. ...

An Attempt to Reduce Materials Cost of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Production

Background: Municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) bottom ash contains a not insignificant amount of metallic aluminum, while circulating fluidized bed combustion (CFBC) fly ash is rich in active SiO 2. To reduce the materials cost of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) production, these two types of solid waste could theoretically be used as the aerating agent and silica source, respectively....

Compressive and splitting tensile strength of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) containing perlite aggregate and polypropylene fiber subjected to high temperatures

This paper presents the results of an experimental study on the residual compressive and splitting tensile strength of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) containing perlite and polypropylene (PP) fiber subjected to high temperatures. Cylinder specimens were subjected to various temperature ranges of 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1,000°C. The mixtures were prepared with AAC cementitious materials conta...

Effect of nanosilica additions on Belite cement pastes held in sulfate solutions

Fly Ash Belite cement (FABC) pastes with and without nanosilica additions have been prepared and maintained in sulfate solutions (Na2SO4 0.5 M) for 180 days. The mechanical performance and the changes in microstructure have been monitored at 28, 90 and 180 days by compressive strength, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Si MAS NMR measurements. We have found that, unexpectedly, and contrary to what ha...
